O que acontece se não houverem mais noites na terra?

Vamos supor que recebecemos uma fonte de luz vinda do espaço derivada de algum fenômeno natural e essa luminosidade fosse capaz de impedir a noite no nosso planeta,o que aconteceria ao nosso planeta? Teríamos um super crescimento das plantas e algas? Teríamos excesso de oxigênio?

Mesmo sendo uma luz idêntica ao espectro solar, teríamos mudanças muito radicais nas temperaturas do planeta? Como isso afetará a calota polar? Teríamos como sobreviver a um evento dessa magnitude?
